Hey everyone, i don't know  if this question is appropriate to ask here but i'll try anyway.                                                                              Does anyone know what is endometriosis? it is a medical condition and is extremely painful. i have never met or known of anyone with this condition. i have had three surgeries (laparoscopy) last one was january 2015 plus many treatments but nothing has worked and i continue to suffer. if you know someone with the same condition who had some relief i would like to know please am really out of options right now. thanks.

i have Endometriosis. ive had it since i was 17 and i am now 32 years old. i too have been in a lot of pain and also have had many surgeries. when i was younger the pain was so bad i would rip chunks of my hair out and cry in pain. I have tried many many different medications for the pain and i have also very heavy period. I was told at the age of 18 to have a hysterectomy which i did not do. i wanted to have kids. i was also told that i would never have kids and if i did i would have many miscarriages. I now have 1 son and i did have 1 misscarriage before him. Before i had my son i met with a nurse about the pain i was in. i also had my period for 1 year straight, twice. the nurse told me to try mirena. its usally for mothers for arent sure if they want more kids. so instead of getting their tubes tied they try this. If you havent had any kids this is VERY painful to put in. but was worth it. my period became very light and also my pains werent as painful anymore. about a year and a half later i removed it to try and have a baby. once my son was born i got it put back in which was not painful at all. they are good for 5 years.

Thank you so much for the info. glad to hear that you found something that helps a bit. everything you went through is very hard and i know exactly how you feel.nothing has helped me so far. i just started a new treatment this week called Cyclomen it's a pill that i take every day. i am very interested in talking to my doctor about Mirena, i haven't tried that before. thanks again for the information it is very helpful. hope you continue to find relief from your pain.
