i agree with you, my brother needs gluten free food, but does not have a lot of money so i send him "care boxes" once in awhile and find their prices pretty good for most items

There's a brand called "lifeGfree" that makes 100% gluten free products. I've seen at the food store Aldi in the U.S., but never anywhere else, so I'm not sure how easy it is to find. They make things like gluten free bread, cakes, you name it. I also love "Mary's Gone Crackers" but they aren't for everyone.
Udi's is a fave! on Feb 07, 2016 @ 02:53 pm
I like Udi's for gluten free tortilla's and little pizzas for a treat. Promise makes some really tasty bread and bun options too - especially Chia Seed Loaf. I generally buy when they're on sale or if I have a coupon and freeze - because they tend to be quite expensive compared to regular grain products. Cloud Nine Gluten Free Baking Mix is a really versatile product and inexpensive from Costco for baking and I really love Barilla's gluten free pasta's too!

I decided to venture into Gluten Free products just for the heck of it. I found these great Tortilla Chip substitute called Late July: Chia and Quinoa chips. SOOOOO YUMMY with salsa! I also found these Garden Vegetable wraps by Joseph's that were absolutely delicious as well! Definitely try!
My top fav list is: on Feb 07, 2016 @ 06:23 pm
Betty Crocker- cake & cookie mix
Udi's hot dog buns/ everything bagels
Glutino- cheese bread/ pretzels
President's Choice puts out a great line of gluten free items, my favourite is their blueberry waffles.
Watch out! on Feb 07, 2016 @ 06:28 pm
Just make sure to read the ingredients. When my doctor told me to go GF for about 6 months (clear out my system), I found most of the Gluten Free products made up for lack of Gluten with sugar and fillers. And the cost is quite up there too.
It's just so much easier to just shop for fresh produce and meats.
