So, you know about Birchbox, Glossybox, and all the other beauty boxes out there and you've probably heard about the Dollar Shave Club for men where they receive monthly shipments of razors for an inexpensive price.
Well now there's a similar service for tampons for women! How smart!
It's called Hello Flo. You can choose a plan that describes how your cycle and then have it delivered monthly. I love the idea of never running out and having it delivered but I think the price is a bit steep. It starts at $14 a month for a light flow and goes up to $18 a month for a heavy flow. Here are more details on pricing.
What do you think of this service? Is it something you'd try?
wouldn't do it on Mar 07, 2013 @ 05:12 pm
I checked out the FAQ's and it's a little confusing as it doesn't clearly state that they ship to Canada. Secondly, I probably wouldn't do it as they only offer from what I can tell is payment by credit card, and most, myself included don't have one. Thirdly, when I know that I'm about to run out, or notice that say maybe Shopper's Drug Mart is having a sale on certain pads/tampons, I usually buy a few packages and or boxes. That way I'm good for a while. Lastly, the only products they offer at the moment are Tampax Pearl and Always. Not every woman on here like and/or use these brands. Some prefer other brands, and it doesn't exactly specify how many of each said product you get at whatever price range you do choose from. It just says "the right amount". I don't like that. No, thank you.

There are other services out here that do the same thing (my cotton bunny and juniper). I can't see spending $14 on something when you can buy a box of tampons for $4.
Cool idea. Too pricey. on Mar 08, 2013 @ 08:31 am
Yes, it's definitely a great idea. But no, the price is definitely too steep for me.
Neat ideal but way too pricey! on Mar 12, 2013 @ 04:40 pm
I do think the ideal is awesome, sometimes you get forgetful and only realize once Aunt Flo has arrived but the price is a bit much for what it is... It better be one heck of a treat that they put in the box!
