Milk and honey, or tea and honey, can really help soothe your throat! Milk will coat it, though, so if your throat feels tight I would avoid this one. Also having a hot vapour bath could open up your airway and sooth any dryness, itchiness, and soreness.
I also have boiled oranges and honey before as a hot drink, which is pretty good and helps get you some vitamin c and is very soothing.

I have been drinking lots of lemon water but the honey and tea sound warm and soothing. Will give that a try!

Sorry that you lost your voice! I have had laryngitis many many times. The only thing you can do is take honey lemon tea and stay silent for a good 24 hrs straight ... not even wisp whispering because that too puts a strain on your voice box. All the best and hope you recover soon.

Hot water with Lemon and honey is good. For a sore throat I gargle with some watered down rum and then have a few small sips to help kill germs.
