These snowy days have led me into eating a lot of comfort food and little time at the gym. I went Monday and felt lethargic. Not my normal mood while I'm sweating it out! What are your great motivators to get back on track? I want to start doing meal prep and becoming more prepared. I was thinking of trying the 21 day fix/ shakeology - what are your opinions? Also what are your favorite healthy snacks and meals. Any pointers on starting to meal prep would be great. Websites? Blogs? Community? Thanks to all!

I've been making green juices as well as smoothies in the morning as well as overnight oatmeal, which is a great breakfast to have ready in the fridge. I also boil about 5-6 eggs a week to have on hand for lunch or as a snack. Stock your fridge with ready to eat snacks like baby carrots, applesauce, yogourt, cheese sticks, etc... which take zero preparation.
There are tons of recipes on pinterest for juicing/smoothies and the oatmeal. I also really like this Youtube channel. She has a series of videos where she gives great ideas for meal prepping:

Good morning I just did a weigh in this morning and I have lost another 3lbs which makes my total to date altogether 19lbs With about 5 girls from work I joined Fitness Pal its free and it is a great program which helps you keep track of your food, gives you advice and tips on healthy foods to snack on and it also has great recipes myfitnesspal.com . I totally cut back on sugar nor more soda pop and I really try to watch my salt intake. I snack on yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, I also have in my fridge carrots, cucumbers, red and green peppers and I make my own hummus for dipping. Lots of fresh fruit. I pretty much eat what I cook the rest of my family but the secret is portion size. I also cook a whole day and freeze my recipes for the week because I work it makes meal prep so much easier. But I still have something at least one a week a really enjoy. When I cook I also sometime double the recipe for extra to either serve the next day I change it up a bit buy adding a salad like say if I make chilli one night we might have a taco salad or chilli macaroni. I hope some of this give you some ideas or helps.

Congrats on losing all those pounds! It takes a lot of willpower and dedication. I know how difficult it is, especially as we get older, to lose those unwanted pounds. The little changes really do add up and we also need to remind ourselves not to become discouraged if we have a little setback once in a while. As long as we get back on track as often as possible, I think that will help with the results we want.
