Back from the doctors office and it turns out that I have to get a mole removed off my head next week, apparently its somewhat questionable looking so better safe than sorry.
Just wondering if anyone has had a mole removed before?? I haven't and I'm somewhat of a baby when it comes to this stuff!

I have had many removed. Some were questionable, some were just in the way. Here is what to expect. It is very quick. I had three removed within 5 minutes. You will get a shot to freeze the area. Close your eyes and concentrate on taking nice deeep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. This will distract and relax you. It does burn a bit at first but it stops quickly because the freezing effect blocks it fast. After this point you will not feel any pain. Do not panic if you see blood on some gauze. The scalp is very vascular and bleeds more than, let's say a cut on your arm. Again, no big deal just better you know as you do not get any surprises. This is all completely normal. Next the doctor will make an eye shaped incision around the mole. This makes it easier to stitch with less scaring. You will be instructed to keep the area dry and clean and will receive an appt. as to when the stitches will be removed. The mole will be place in a sterilized cup with fluid and sent to histology for testing and that's it.
Let me know how it went as I think you may have gone already! :)
Wishing you a speedy recovery,
