I have migraines, so I guess that's ... good? Not so good when I'm lying down with a towel on my face and feeling wretched, but at least I don't have to worry about the possibility of death.

I don't have either ailment ... nor do I want either of them. As long as the converse doesn't hold true ... lack of migraines increases cancer risk by 30%!!!

I have chronic migraines....so I guess I'd stick with migraines. Breast cancer can kill you....migraines don't.

Ugh, sometimes I hate these things. This is just a correlation and might not be anything at all! All that they've noticed is women with higher levels of estrogen tend to have higher levels of breast cancer (notice the word "TEND") and that migranes are often (note the word "OFTEN") caused by low levels of estrogen. Then they do a correlation of women with migranes and breast cancer.
What about men that have migranes and breast cancer?
This looks like it's all correlation to me and I don't buy it. There could are SO MANY other factors that can lead to breast cancer and we have no idea what they took into account or not into account during these studies or how they even assessed these studies.

i'm with you tigerlilly. there are so many 'statistics' out there that are really kind of bogus. you can put a number or a percentage to anything. the truth is, they really don't know much about what does or doesn't cause cancer. they could say that more left-handed people get cancer than right-handed and people would believe it.
