|I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom! on Oct 13, 2012 @ 10:46 pm|
I went to your site and saw your posts about your Mom and I feel really bad for you and for her! One thing that surprised me though is that you have to raise money for her treatment? Isn't that covered in Canada?

parts of it will be but most if not all wont be because of no private insurance we have to foot the rest of what wont be covered like the chemo pills the hospital stay the anti nausea pills
the specialty bras and prostetics so my mom has to come up with what they call the inbetween costs of what medicare wont cover also depending on if the treatment is even on the list of covered medications i think the only thing that will be covered for sure is the intial surgery anything after that i believe is up to us

forgot to mention too the reason the chemo pill is not covered is because its still new here in canada if she took the iv version it would be covered but she prefers the pill because less travel to the hospital as well as the only real side effect is upset tummy the other stuff has a boat list of possible reactions
