Second Period this month?!

I'm not sure who to ask about this or what to do, or even if its a problem! :/
Ok, earlier this month I had my period on time. It started normally, then eased off then carried on from about 2nd-7th October approx. Then today my period started again. I was feeling very nauseous yesterday and have been having period pains and feeling nauseous today also. I usually get period pains.
I dont know if this is normal or not, and I'm really gutted as my periods can be really draining and make me feel really ill and painful.
I dont know if I should be worried? Or thinking about going to the doctor? Or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Oh and also, I just turned 19 yesterday and I have never had sex so this cannot be a STI or pregnancy or something like that!

Try not to worry on Oct 27, 2011 @ 01:40 pm

First don't panic and don't try looking up a million things on line.
That will only confuse you more and can also make you think you have
something wrong with you when you don't. Its always best to see your Dr,
or if you don't have one go to a clinic when you have any type of
concern. So I'd say make an appointment if your that worried about this.
Its always best to have them tell you what's going on than it is to try
and diagnose yourself. This has happened to me many times over the
years, I even went a year with out a period after I had my first son. I
was worried, but my Dr told me it was no big deal, it happens and that I
should be happy. How ever you have to remember everyone is different.
If you haven't had sex then its definitely not a sign of the start of a
miscarriage, so your good there. A lot of times this can be from simple
stress. The same thing happened to me last month. Its a pain and can
make you feel as you have described, but a little more info is needed.
Has your Dr put you on any type of birth control pills to regulate your
periods? I was on the pill from age 15 until I was 29 and never had and
kind of brake through bleeding, but I suppose it can still happen, I'm
not a Dr. If your not on any birth control this can happen for all kinds
of reasons, our body's do funny thing sometimes. Its best to see your
Dr right away if you have any type of concern. Waiting can possibly lead
to much bigger problems and none of us need that! I'm not sure how much
help I've bin, but I hope what I've said has eased your mind a bit. See
your Dr and let us know how you're doing. Hug's

Don't worry yet! on Oct 27, 2011 @ 02:50 pm

Whatever you do, stay away from WebMD!!!

Don't try and self diagnose! You're going to freak yourself out- trust me with this one. Most likely, this is nothing. It happens to almost all women at one point or another! There are a number of causes and for the most part- it is nothing major to worry about.

That being said, it is always better safe than sorry so if you are worried, see your doctor. They're the only one who will be able to put your mind at ease for sure.

As for feeling drained- try taking vitamin B6. I was feeling really drained a few years back and my doctor suggested I take it and it really helped me out!

This happened to me too on Oct 31, 2011 @ 03:53 pm

This used to happen to me in high school - it was mainly because I was not active at all and eating a lot all the time...are you doing this too? Try exercising - running would be really helpful and eating healthy - not too much fatty foods, not too much...now I'm completely fine.

Very common on Nov 01, 2011 @ 08:57 am

This is actually a very common recurring topic on our forums so I hope you can be comforted by the fact that you are not alone.

We wrote an article about it here:
http://www.chickadvisor.com/article/is-my-period-normal/

And check out these forum discussions here on ChickAdvisor from other women asking the same question:
http://www.chickadvisor.com/chickchat/health/period-twice-in-same-month/

http://www.chickadvisor.com/chickchat/health/i-got-my-period-twice-in-one-month-im-scared.html

http://www.chickadvisor.com/chickchat/health/help-in-scared/

This is just a handful of the many discussions so as you can see, this happens a lot.

In your case, you had one at the beginning of the month and one at the very end, so that could be just your normal cycle. Obviously, asking your Dr. is always the first step, but in the mean time I don't think you should worry. Chances are the period you are having now is your November period.

Same problem... on May 21, 2013 @ 03:33 pm

I had unprotected anal sex a few times. My boyfriend dezvirginated me with his tongue.
I the begging of this month I had my period until 9. Today, I saw dark blood on my panties. What's this?
Also when I pee I saw blood, but not much.. Should I be worried? I never had two periods in one month.
Can you please help me?

Im on my 4th period in like under 2 months kinda worried! on Nov 02, 2014 @ 11:38 pm

I have been on the same birth control for almost 4 years and just recently like not even two months ago my period started being weird I had it like normal 5-7 days and it ended then a few days later I started again ad then it lasted for 5-7 days too and then it ended and then a few days later I started my period again for about 5-7 days and then that ended I've been off of my period for a little over a week and then yesterday my period started again.. And I'm really starting to freak out.. Im thinking that maybe my body is used to the medicine I've been on, and also freaking that it could be something else.. I've been in kinda more pain since I started yesterday in the normal spots and now also up in my stomachs under my belly button and on the right side of my stomach up on my hip/rib area.... I'm really getting worried gonna try to go to a OB this week
