Hula Hooping to slimmer hips? According to ehow.com, apparently it's the best kept secret. I find it hard to slim down the hips with exercise, because as I start building more muscle, I start getting a coconut butt, so it actually makes my measurements bigger. What are your best kept Skinny Hips secrets?
|don't know about the slimmer hips... on Feb 01, 2011 @ 02:12 pm|
... but (and yes, pardon the bad pun!) I like the hula hoop exercise on Wii Fit. It certainly gets my abs going! And I'd rather have junk in my trunk than a spare tire, so I'd take a bigger caboose for a flatter tummy.

I'm sure a pear-shaped gal would argue that. BUT I agree with you, I would much rather have a little junk in my trunk than the 'spare tire'. But, I would still like to know some excercises that don't build the muscle, just slim down the bum.

I am a pear shaped girl. So I'm not thrilled with too much junk in that trunk! As I've said in other threads, everything in moderation!

It hurts So much when you're down. Lately, I've found myself gradually growing a beer belly... ew.

I don't know if this shapes the butt (although they claim to do everything under the sun) but The Twister does help with love handles.
I'm going to restart using it and put up a proper review on how well it works.

I love all the Wii games, and especially love the fitness edition! It is so much fun and great for exercise, or social gatherings actually.
As for the twister, I've never heard of it. You'll have to update us on how well it works Becky!

I just found a good video on the proper way to use a twister: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEFA1bcF_ro
I used to use it only once a day for about 5mins (with other exercises) and it helped reshape my stomach area a lot.

I guess it makes sense that hula hooping would be a good hip exercise - you’re working the muscles in the side of your booty and your obliques. Plus it makes it fun (rather than a chore)

I want to play Wii Fit now!
|wii fit is fun, kinect is fun-er! on Feb 16, 2011 @ 02:30 pm|
I like both! I mix it up ...I just love that with kinect I don't have to hold on to the controller (anyone else have it come flying off their hand besides me?)!!
I highly recommend Dance Central and challenge anyone to dance battle (I don't care if you think I am a dork!) The same goes for Just Dance on the Wii and DDR on Xbox :)
