I have had slouchy posture before as well and it was so bad for my neck. I had headaches constantly. I found being aware of it until it became habit to have good posture was key. Also, physio did the most for me. the exercises the therapist gave me were so easy and effective. she helped me go from quite significant daily pain to feeling better than I had in a looong time!

Maybe I'll see a physio when my insurance comes through! I try to be aware but by the time I noticed I'll realise I've been slouching for like an hour.

I'm getting older now so I got to take care of my posture. I'm having a lifestyle crisis!

I slouched so much at my desk at work and it really messed up my back for months. I needed a better desk and chair.

Haha. I understand that! I'm I the process of trying to change a few things to be healthier!

Be careful, especially when you`re working at you`re desk. I`ve known people who`ve developed chronic pain because of it, myself included. Yoga has helped me a lot and a good office chair can help maintain the good posture. Core workouts (ab workouts) have also helped me, but I`ve been slacking lately. Time to get back on track....

Looking into a better chair, but can't afford it.
Anyone know if lumbar support makes a difference?
Thanks for all your advice!

Being so amply endowed will do this. I can remember being in grade 9 and slouched over with my gift of nature. I was even teased about it. Anyways, you're aware of the slouching, not to worry about it. Just every now and then pick up your shoulders and in time this will come naturally. Also, don't be embarassed like I used to be. Be proud and happy
