Ok I so I've been on birth control for about over 7 months now and ever since I've started my periods have been a lot longer than usual or happening twice a month. I called my gyno and they said because I'm 16 my periods gonna be irregular and once my body gets used to the birth control my periods will eventually be regular again. But it's been 8 months and I haven't had one regular period! Sometimes I'll think I'll have a normal period amount of days and then two days later when I think my periods over it will start back up again. I have a period counter so below are the dates of my periods for the past few months.

•August 22-26 (normal)

•September 19-20 (abnormally short)

•October 21-28 (long)

•November 12-16

•November 24-28

•December 10-12

•December 24-26

•January 6-12

•January 21-23

•February 3-12

•March 5-9 and started back again today on the 12

•Please someone tell me they can relate cuz I am so frustrated. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening or how to fix my irregular periods

Vagina? on Mar 12, 2016 @ 09:08 pm

Well.... Usually a doctor can recommend something that will make your periods more regular.Did he/she not mention that to you at all? In any case it really is not a serious thing and there is no need to worry. Also, a phone call cannot and will not be of any assistance. You should be seen in person. If there is any question at all the doctor can requests tests etc. Have you had your iron level checked etc?

After 8 months your body should be adjusted to birth control. I'd go back to the gyno and ask for a new birth control med. it's great that you've been tracking your cycle. Take that inform her.

I agree with Kristine! It should have settled down by now. It's not super bad, it's just possible you are sensitive to the medication!

Show your doctor the schedule you've been keeping track of. This could mean a variety of different things are happening!
