A word of caution re: SPF. In our University nursing program, we learned that 30 SPF is plenty and anything higher can have a carcinogenic effect. If you need to, reapply but levels above 30 can be hazardous to your health.
|Sunscreen at night and in the office...?? on Jul 16, 2013 @ 06:04 am|
I have heard some really contradictory info on wearing sunscreen during the day while you are inside and also at night.
My derm suggested to wear it at night while so much info on the web advises against it saying that it clogs pores so that they can't breathe etc. Is there a special sunscreen for night time?
She also suggested to put it as a sealing layer over moisturizer and under makeup. She showed me how to press it on instead of rubbing it in. Before I used this technique I used to get major breakouts from wearing sunscreen too think, but this seems to work so far.
As far as wearing it at night I am still far to wary to even try that!!
Has anyone else had any similar experiences?
