Surviving Surgery

I've recently had a serious surgery and have been home already for a week!  Aside from the pain (which meds help with), I'll admit that it gets boring!  Everyone has to go on with their lives and their commitments, which means that the recovering patient gets left alone at home.

Ugh!  What do I do to fight boredom?

I have been off work since last May. I had surgery as well. This is the first time I have been home this long. I started chick advisor and all I did was review for a long time. I couldn't do much but now I can drive and go out. I started exercising more and keeping busy. Do something you like if you can. I started using my knifty knitter I am on my 4th hat.!Look after yourself and when it gets nice out you can be outside. That will help!

Find a good series or movies you haven't seen on Netflix, do reviews on Chick Advisor, read, draw, learn some new recipes.

I recently learned how to knit using loom and find it is a great way to help pass the time. Wishing you all the best during your recovery.

I hope you have Netflix! I would play a bunch of video games, but that's not for everyone. Try art or adult coloring books and make sure to rest <3

When I first came home I couldn't do much but I did find I could work on a puzzle. If you get a larger one it takes forever to find all the pieces it will pass the time
Get better soon

I hope you're recovering well and that you're pain diminishes as quickly as possible. You can always spend time here if that helps. There's always something new in the forum to read or write about.

Do you have a hobby you enjoy doing? The ladies above mentioned some great ones. How about reading magazines or a favorite book?

Good luck!

Bonne chance.
