First strarted having problems with clicking then would wake up in the morning and would not be able to fully open my mouth. This only happens when I wake up in the morning. I am scared and need some comforting words until I find some help.

This probably isn't your problem, but it is mine. For the past 2 months I've woken up to a stiff jaw. The range of motion improves throughout the day, but is never 100%. Turns out one of my wisdom teeth is impinging on my jaw nerve. I'm getting those suckers yoinked in 7 days so hopefully that will cause the problem. Do you still have your wisdom teeth? Perhaps that is a possibility for your symptoms. Shrug.

I had this for a while too and it eventually went away. My jaw would click a lot and I couldn't open my mouth all the way. I was always self-conscious that people could hear (they couldn't). In my case, it just went away by itself. I wouldn't worry about it, but definitely ask your Dr or Dentist. It could have something to do with your bite or if you grind your teeth at night.

I have TMJ too. My back teeth don't line up properly which put all the pressure on my jaw. I did have several retainers through the years but got braces to try fix the problem for good. I used to suffer from headaches and since my braces have moved my teeth I've hardly had any headaches.

Hey gals. I've had TMJ for over 2 years. I got it from stress and chewing too much gum b/c of it. This resulting in faint clicking so I went to the docotor and he sent me to a profressional.
Through those two years I've experienced: clicking, ear rining, headaches, popping, locking, swelling. For treatments I get splint theraphy, accupuncture, IMS, lazer theraphy, massage, the list goes on. In the last couple of months I am finally starting to get relief. I hope you all of you get help if needed. If you need any advice let me know.
