I thought this could be a fun topic. And I'm hoping it'll get me motivated to work out tomorrow; I haven't exercised in over a week because of a nasty flu virus I'm still not over yet but I'm over it enough I need to get back to working out. But you know how it goes... miss a while and you have trouble getting back into the routine again.
What kind of music gets you going (and KEEPS you going) when you're working out?
I personally need some good "angry" music when I'm exercising. So lots of Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Default etc. on my mp3 player.

honestly I like down 'n dirty bitches and hos music (i.e rap): Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye and I also like pop stuff like Esthero and I also love electronica mixes like Hotel Costes. My tastes in music are all over the place, but when it comes to working out I like the heavier beats from rap. I try to tune out the horrid degrading lyrics but... ya.

When I need to get in a groove, whether its exercising, driving, or cranking out code at work, its always Techno/Electronica that I turn to. Find some Paul Oakenfold or Daft Punk!

Yeah I definitely need something heavier while working out to get me going. I'm a metal fan, so it's usually that, or something Electronic/techno.
I don't know if my gym plays the radio or a satellite station...but it's usually recent pop music...and annoys the heck out of me when ballads come on. I usually bring my own MP3 player and tune out their music.

I agree with MissChickie's taste in workout music....heavier beats.... on the other end though, I also find that Madonna's new album is good for that or Kylie Minogue's...depends on the workout! :o)
