My child started school this year, and I was a nervous wreck. Thank goodness I was definitely miss spy mom, because truth be told there were so many issues at the school that I found out about I pulled him out immediately after the principal was not rectifying the issues. Come to think of it, I went through a strict review process where I looked at test scores, reviews from parents, visited the school, and a bunch of other things so I thought that it was okay..never second guess yourself.

I used to have anxiety attacks just thinking about it! When he went to daycare I walked him and took him right in so I knew he was safe and sound but when he started JK he was going to be on a bus in a new town, I was a wreck and thought for sure he would be too! Well the morning of the dreaded day came and my son was as calm and as excited as I'd ever seen him. When the bus arrived I was bawling like a baby and he climbed up the steps like an old pro and waved like he had done it all before. It's definitely an adjustment for everyone but if you're really having trouble getting used to it then just try to involve yourself as much as you can with school trips, school work/home work and maybe even volunteer at the school?

Yes, it's perfectly natural . We love our kids and we want them with us. It's well past your note of 2013 so I can assume your child has made it through a couple of grades and hopefully your anxiety has subsided.
