I'm so proud of myself I breast-fed for 15 months.... But I'm having a hard time getting my daughter to eat regular food! Any advice moms?

I'm currently breastfeeding a little guy who loves to eat which I know I'm super fortunate for. Sometimes if you've waited too long to introduce food to your baby they have a really hard time transitioning to solids or they hate texture. My nephew was delayed solids and was breastfed for several years and now as a young child he has no interest in food at all and they have to force him to eat. I think if its an ongoing struggle find a favorite food like sweet potatoes or apple sauce and then mix in other foods until your baby is confident with them. That is how I've introduced new foods to my baby.

My breastfed daughter weaned at 14 months and she never had a real problem with eating solids, so unfortunately I can't speak from direct experience. There are times, though, when my daughter doesn't seem interested in eating at all. On those days, I whip up a smoothie and give her that (which she loves). That way I know she's getting the nutrition she needs. I use homo milk, yogurt, any fruits and veges I have around and hemp hearts. Good luck, and keep trying! You're doing a great job.

Ok I would give her a small bowl of ice cream with some arrowroot cookies standing up in it. Don't laugh, it starts them off eating MOST times. Then you can branch out after she gets the feel of it and next thing you know all will be fine.

I can't get my baby to eat the infant cereal! She doesn't like it.
