For the first night since she was born (Almost 3 months) Daddy has put her to sleep. She started being fussy and always needed to be held to fall asleep, and its always been me. I guess he started feeling guilty once I started crying because she was being so fussy.
Any other mothers out there getting surprised by their husbands?

That is a really sweet gesture, and it's even more sweet that you recognize it - and are really happy about it happening. I definitely was surprised a few times with my boyfriend, during our daughter's younger months. I think most men need something to happen (ie: You breaking down in front of him after being stressed about your child being fussy) in order for them to step up and take control of a situation, that's usually being controlled by "mommy" in most cases.

It's really critical for Dads to get in there and spend one on one time, including bedtime and naps. During the week I take care of most of this but on the weekend my husband does it. It's good for both of them. Of course now my boy prefers his daddy over me. I am chopped liver now ;). But if he is upset about something I still come out on top so I guess that's ok.
