I recently received the Evenflo Titan 65 car seat and we're having trouble fitting it rear facing in our backseat. We're going to have the mother-in-law take a look, she's got more experience with putting in car seats. But it leaves me wondering if I'm going to have a tough time fitting a rear facing car seat. The HHR is like an SUV in size, I think, so I honestly didn't think we'd run into this problem. I'm at 35 weeks now so the pressure is on to get one installed properly ahead of time.

After some maneuvering the car seat did go in. It would only fit in the middle seat, and I have to say it's pretty massive. My seat had to go up a little from where it normally is and I can't recline at all because the back of the car seat it pressing against my seat.

Take your seat to a local police station. They have car seat clinics and am positive an officer will show you how to properly install it.
Do you really want to go on just maneuvering it in and it fit? Better safe than sorry.

It's installed and isn't going anywhere. It's secure. It's just a very massive seat that seems to take up more room when it's rear-facing.
