around 20 minutes for each side, sometimes only eat on one side if I feed my baby every 2-3 hours (4 months old)
|how long? on Mar 02, 2016 @ 02:48 pm|
I did it until it became uncomfortable (over the age of one) for them all. As for the previous girl mentioning how long per side, I let my infants suckle for as long as they needed to. Every person and child is different. If you're still afraid of doing it for a long time you can give it up if you feel you would like to; but have no guilt as you have given your child the absolute best start in like.

My oldest wanted nothing to do with breastfeeding at 11 months. My youngest couldn't get enough! She weaned around 16 months.

When I was in the hospital they wold me to do 15-20 on each side every 4 hours and to pump every 3 hours. I dried up within 3 days of this lol.. They were so pushy on the whole "breast is best" and made me feel like a failure for drying up lol... Beforehand they had said they suggested breastfeeding for 1-2 years.

I actually miss snuggling my little, sweet baby, nursing her alone in the rocking chair or on the couch watching Call the Midwife or dozing on the bed. Such a sweet time.

I'm going on 8 months now and I wish my daughter would take a bottle so I can leave for longer periods of time. I have a feeling I will be nursing her for a long time lol

I understand, it it so frustrating when the kid won't take a bottle and you want to go out longer. Neither of mine took bottles well. :( But, seriously, it's over very quickly and baby is drinking out of a cup full time. And then I missed it!
