My son is three in a couple of weeks. He has always been a super busy baby/toddler. However now that we are entering the preschool age the staff at our daycare is finding him to be disruptive, disobedient, and overwhelming to deal with. My husband and I had hyperactivity issues as children that we gradually grew out of and could be moderated by diet changes. Could this be the same for my son?? How would I go about getting him tested for something like ADD/ADHD (i'm from Canada)?? Do I just have a very busy/spirited child?

Maybe you could try changing his diet as well and seeing if that helps. Otherwise the only real solution is to talk to your pediatrican about it and see what they say (and maybe get a second or third opinion if their first thought is to just give him medication). And in the end, some kids really are just more active and spirited than other kids. It may just be something he grows out of. But better to talk to a medical expert just to put your mind at ease.

try talking to your dr about your lil man if you feel its add/adhd keep in mind most drs will push a pill you can try soothing smells to help him ground himself like citrus oils use them in a diffuser or aroma lamp they are happy yet calming scents that most kids love

Diet is HUGE. I would be looking at the amount of sugar, fruits, veggies, healthy foods, no preservatives or artifical things- homemade meals. Exercise is key as well. Try everything before meds.
