I was at a neighbours yesterday and she was making her baby food like I mentioned to her. She's been doing this for a while, but I thought it was a bad idea when i saw her putting liver into the blender. What do you think? I know that using beef and chicken is a great idea but I think liver may be a little to rough

I think liver is horrifying. I'd wonder if baby would like the taste and also about if there's too much iron in it for baby at this point in their life.

It's a culturally thing! Many southern european families fed liver to their children. I was one of them. I love it.

I actually just read how good it is for your baby. I won't be making that for my baby though.

Why not try it? The worst that could happen is the baby wouldn't like it and wouldn't eat it. Maybe they would love the taste of liver....

Liver is really nutritional! I'm with Sandra on this one, it really is a cultural thing. When I was a baby, liver was pretty much the best thing a kid could get (I'm Chinese-Canadian). I really like the taste of liver, and even as a baby, I got used to it real quick! If the baby doesn't like it, won't eat it, but there's no harm in giving blended liver to a baby.
