Period late

By my estimation, my period was due last week between Wednesday and Thursday (10/16 - 10/18).  My husband was worried so I took a HPT (First Response Early Result) on Thursday night and it came back negative.  I started getting cramps and bloating on Saturday.  I didn't have any bleeding yet so my husband asked me to take another test on Monday (first morning urine).  It came back negative.  Since Monday, I have had very light pink spotting.  This has been going since then.  The amount of blood hasn't increased.   However, my cramping and bloating have started to get worse.  Again, the hubby is freaking out so he asked me to take ANOTHER test this morning (first morning urine, again).  The test was negative.  The test was First Response Early Result.  I am now starting to get a bit concerned with having this very light, pink spotting for going on four days now.  I only have the cramping and bloating.  Any ideas?

It is normal to have varying degrees of bleeding each month, including some that are just spotting. However, if you are in a great deal of discomfort, you should see your doctor, since it could be something else that may need treatment. There are many reasons for a change in your period, including increased stress, weight loss, etc. My best advice, though, would be to see your doctor.

I agree with gayleenlam, you should see a doctor. You could have large cysts on your ovaries, or even fibroids, so please go to the doctors. And let us know how you are.

Thank you both for the replies. I am happy to say that AF has FINALLY appeared.

I also forgot to mention that I took plan B last month.

I am so glad to hear that! Years ago I had something similar happen and it turned out to be an ovarian cyst, which ruptured. You NEVER want to go through that if you can avoid it! Let's just hope that all stays regular for you now. :) Have a wonderful weekend!

I think it is time to stop listening to your concerned loving husband and go see your Doctor.I have been where you are with the cramping, light pinkish spotting and no regular period.Like some of the others who commented before me,you should see your doctor and get an answer once and for all instead of guessing. It could be something simple that's causing this.Listen to the comments and go see your doctor today.
