Rash on inner thigh

My 1 1/2 year old has a rash in his inner leg. I thought maybe his diaper was on to thigh so I've had it on loose. I've been putting vasaline on it but doesn't go away. Anything else I can try?

Im the one of coconut oil believers :) I used it for everything on my baby. Give that a try or I also love aveeno eczema lotion.
But im no expert :)

My grandmother always swore by cornstarch because of its absorbing properties. Pat in on the affected area to help clear up the rash. I hope your little one feels better soon. :-)

Hi there. Cornstarch is great and so is coconut oil. Vaseline holds in heat on these kinds of things. It's great for chapped skin, but on rashes it will hold the heat in. Also, I've used Bordeux Butt Paste. I get it at Walmart in the baby aisle. They have been around for years. It sounds like a heat rash, but I'm no expert either. 2 of my Grandsons have experienced this too. Hopefully some of these will help your little one, I know it can be daunting to try certain remedies. Let me know what you use. Ginger

I also have to agree that cornstarch is pure and contains no perfume. I would recommend if it persists you should consider visiting your family dictor

Thanks everyone. Looks like my inlaws were putting his diaper on to tight and he runs around a lot so it was rubbing against his leg. So yesterday they put his diaper on loose and no rash. Thanks for all the help and good to know if it happens again.

I am glad to here it cleared up. I was going to suggest those Aveeno oatmeal bath packets. We used this on 1 of our nieces, when her skin would break out. Oatmeal soothes skin and is very useful.

Happy to hear that you're little one's rash issue was resolved so quickly. Nothing worse than having your baby not feeling well. Take care and keep smiling! :-)

If it ever happens again, my mother always swore by Penaten cream! That stuff works wonders. I've nannied for several different families, and the ones that clear up the fastest are the ones that use Penaten.

Glad it cleared up! :)
