CBC Marketplace just surveyed Walmart as having the BEST and WORST customer service in Canada. Who is your vote for best and worst retailer in Canada??

I have always had really good customer service at Walmart.The best I would say is Safeway. The worst Shaw cable.

Although all the cashiers at my Walmart have been great, the actual Customer Service people have been horrid (and quite ignorant of polices, which is ironic!)
Also have mixed reviews of cashiers at Real Canadian Superstore.
I love the service I have always gotten at Shoppers Drug Mart but as the prices are mostly higher than what I can get elsewhere, I dont shop there often.
HATE Shaw too but hubby wont let me switch our TV and internet to Telus :(

I have had some great customer service experiences and some of my worst at WalMart. I've always had great experiences with Shoppers Drug Mart and even Starbucks when I've had issues.

Another horrible retailer has got to be Zellers....their return policies are HORRIBLE and no one can ever help you!

worst customer service - is future shop
they pass you around
no one knows what they are doing
when you buy insurance for laptop repair, and brought it in to fix it, it takes forever
they won't tell you exact date
then they wont give you a loner
they will find excuses that the fault is yours - in case can't be repaired
walmart is so - so, have bad days
The good ones:
great customer service in a restaurant - South keys mall - montana's cook out
- MEC warranty for products is not just one year - some lifetime, no questions ask
Loblaws - good customer service, but always busy.
Running Room - A , returns no problem.
Home Depot- A , they send UPS guy to pick up your return

bell canada (internet, phone, cable TV) , Rogers Cable - it takes forever to get to a human being to answer you, and if they cannot help, they do not know where to direct you to help you solve your problem or concerns.

And this happened today! It was so frustrating. I have cable with Rogers (no contract) and 6 months ago they called me up and said because I've been such a good client, they'll give me some channels for free. I called to cancel my service today because I'm switching to another company only to find that the "free channels" which were not supposed to cost me anything, I now have to pay for because I'm cancelling. The worst part is that the first agent I spoke with quoted a lower cancellation price for this "free" service but when I said I'll call back, it almost doubled! I did cancel and will be sending in a complaint letter!
Good riddance Rogers!
