Christine Grimmie Shot and Killed After Concert

I found it hard to believe the news. I had just been thinking about her the day before she was shot. I was thinking how amazing it was that she was discovered off of Youtube and was feeling happy for her success. For years she posted music covers on Youtube as a teen.

I find it strange that out of all the celebrities, ones far more popular and ones that had been in the spotlight for longer had not been shot or seriously attacked but Christine who had not been in the physical public for that long and was not that famous, was targeted by a nut. It's just like Selena and John Lennon. But this person killed themself. An angry person felt they had to take away a lovely girl. It's just so pointless.

It just hits me hard. She was my age. I was even considering posting music on youtube. I just wonder if she'd do it all again, had she's known the outcome. She looked so happy in her last video.

What are your thoughts? What do you think about America and it's 'gun problem'?

I heard the news this morning. It's really unfair when any life is taken away in such a senseless manner. I never really knew about her until today, but I'm still saddened that she didn't get to fully live her life the way she wanted to.

Don't let this tragic event stop you from pursuing your dreams. If anything, look to her as inspiration as someone who worked hard to accomplish her goals.

I'm not too familiar with her but that is really sad news. Especially to someone whom had worked so hard and now finally just hitting the spotlight.

Ya, the gun problem is really getting out of hand. It's like a chain reaction. When the first school shooting happened, it was such big news and seems so insane. Now it's gotten to the point where, it's just a shooting. I feel so saddened every time I hear these things happening. People lives are shortened ... for what? Because certain people are not happy with themselves so let's just go kill everyone?! I hope there will be some kind of an end to all this madness.

The worst part is, out of all places these mass shootings occurs, it's always a school, movie theaters and I believe a church once. There is no where safe anymore. I hope there will be an end to the gun and mass shooting era.

It's such a shame. I feel Americans are too focused on their "gun rights" than they are saving each other. I feel like in Canada shootings are huge, yet in the states it just feels like an everyday thing. People don't want advanced screenings in order to get guns, they think it goes against their constitutional rights -_-

CHRISTINE GRIMMIE SHOT AND KILLED AFTER CONCERT on Jun 12, 2016 @ 07:37 pm

Wow this is truly so sad. I remember watching Christine on the Voice. She had it all so pretty, talented and love performing. My heart goes out to her family. I can't comprehend how someone can do this. We have lost so many stars do to and their fans and crazy stalkers. I hope she is in a better place. No one deserves to have their life ended like this. So Young R.I.P. Christine Grimmie.

I'd never heard of her before, but I felt so angry when I read her age in relation to the killer's. He's 27: what a big man, to take the life of a 22 year old just starting out, made me so mad.

And to know that her brother was there is just heartbreaking. With today's mass shooting, her death pales in comparison, but the question is, just how many more deaths are needed before people do something about it? :(

People only act after something happens. I feel there's something tragic about that.

Tragic on Jun 14, 2016 @ 09:17 am

To me it's more tragic that nothing ever seems to change in the US in relation to these tragedies happening again and again.

Where I'm from it happened once, laws were changed and it's been safer since.

The Pulse shooting breaks my heart. He purposely attacked an already vulnerable community.
