David Bowie

Am I the only one here who is mourning the loss of one of rock's most iconic figures? I have been a fan of the Thin White Duke since I first heard Space Oddity. Ziggy Stardust is still an all - time favorite.
No-one else could have played the Goblin King in Labyrinth with such style and finesse.
I was fortunate enough to see him perform 3 times over the years. Every time a totally different experience. RIP David Bowie.

I agree freddi, it's a very sad loss for music. He was such a trailblazer and changed the music industry in ways many people don't even realize. You're so lucky you got to see his concerts. What great memories you'll have!

I've replayed his songs today and have told others about his passing but it's still seems so surreal that he's gone. Labyrinth was my favorite of his movie performances. One of my high school teachers had us watch it for a class assignment and since then, I've listened to his songs for the past 20 years. He was as abstract as Picasso, letting us interpret his lyrics the way we would have liked to. A rare genius!
