Have heard about Dr.Pepper 10? It's the new diet Dr.Pepper, boasting just 10 calories but the same taste. The advertising campaign for the drink rolled out recently and it's raising some eyebrows. The slogan is "Not For Women" and the commercials are full of buff guys who are doing 'masculine' things- riding in jeeps, killing things with lasers etc.
It seems like it is supposed to be funny and poke fun at all the typically 'maly' things you see in commercials and how diet drinks are almost always marketed to women.
However on their facebook page, people have been posting comments like: "Just heard about this Dr Pepper Ten; must've been too busy being barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen." And "Rigid gender roles and rules are totally cool. Keep it classy, Dr. Pepper. It's a good thing you're here to tell us how to act and keep us all in our place." (via jezebel.com)

Do you think it's funny or sexist?

I just watched it and think it's funny. I have seen much much worse and this is too caricatured to be taken seriously. What exactly is wrong about laughing at ourselves?

This reminds me of "degree - strong enough for a man but made for a woman" type commercial. I thought it was funny! Some people take everything way too seriously...
