By now most of you have probably heard of the massive 8.9-point earthquake that hit just off the northeastern coast of Japan, spawning a tsunami that reached Hawaii this morning and will likely reach California and western South America soon. Some of the smaller Pacific islands are lower than the 13-foot tsunami, which is very concerning indeed.
Right now they're saying 60 people have died with many injured. The damage is said to be "enormous".
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this frightening event!

This is the first actual picture I've seen, I only heard about it on the radio this morning. Mel just came in and said that they just found 300 bodies on the beach. I don't want to start thinking about how high that count will get over the next week.

Oh my gosh, this is the first I'm hearing about this. It's really surreal to think about this and what it must be like for the people in Japan.
There's now a tsunami watch for almost everything in the Pacific, the entire Western coast of the U.S. and Canada.

I was very emotional as I watched the footage from Indonesia back in 2005. These events are just so tragic!
