That was powerful!!

I've seen it happen to kids more times then I like to remember. I always
step in when I see it, but most of the bullying isn't done in front of
adults. Kids also feel like if they tell on these kids they will just be
bullied ever more and unfortunately their probably right. Its worse now
that they can get on the internet. My own boys have had things said to
them on line from people that don't even know them. Thank God my boys no
better then to respond to it, all that does is make the bullying go on
longer. The next thing you know everyone on line joins in and they don't
even know the kids they're bullying, or why. They just do it because
everyone else is doing it. Its sad, its just so sad! To many kids are
taking their life's and all because some other kids don't like what they
wear, or how they talk, or what ever it is. We just have to keep
talking to our kids and hope they do learn from us just how wrong
bullying is and how much it hurts the other person that's being bullied.

I've seen this one and it was really moving. There's some buzz going around this one about how he was trolling everyone. He put out a second video this month that said he was very popular and wasn't actually bullied. I know that a lot of people have been hating on him for this. But even so, his video did get out a powerful message. I wish that he hadn't put out that second video, but I think he realized his mistake and so he deleted it right away.

People need to see that bullying is a problem and it has affected everyone. So long as we don't ignore it, we can deter it and protect each other from the emotional pain of it.

Too bad on Dec 09, 2011 @ 10:51 pm

I didnt realize he put out another. Wondering why he decided to do that?? Regardless, bullying is a terrible thing.

I have children 10 and 12, and both have had some part of bullying whether it be the victim or the bully. My 10 yr old went through a time where he actually was the bully. When I found out I educated him as much as I could. I then found out that he was then the boy tha stood up for the victims. Its just too bad that when kids are told on they get in a heap of trouble but learn nothing new. This I can see being the cause of the victim being more victimized.

My 12 yr old was the victim for awhile, and he got to the point where he cried cause he did not want to go to school. I contacted the teacher, the principal and the board. Nothing seemed to be done about it. I then told my son to not ignore it and stand up for himself. I have a real problem with the school system in regards to this. The claim to have zero tolerance. I disagree. It needs to change.

Bottom line is children need to be better educated and taught empathy to better understand the consequence of their actions.
