Okay so I've been hearing all this ruckus over JLH in a bikini. I went to see the pictures and can I just say loud & clear: Thank God for celebrities with REAL bodies!!!!!
If she's fat, then I must be obese! (FYI I'm five feet tall at a 128 pounds.)
I really like her show, Ghost Whisperer and she's an actress who knows how to have fun with her wardrobe while emphasizing her best assets.
What do you think?
love her on Dec 05, 2007 @ 04:42 pm
I think she's one of the most gorgeous women ever. She also seems very down to earth and real, like someone that you could really get along with and be friends with. :) I always look at pics of her and think "Man if I could have that body!" lol
There are so many lovely, beautiful celebs who are "fat" merely because people are so used to seeing such frail, thin bodies in Hollywood that any time one of them comes along with a real body people tear them apart.
Hooray for celebs who don't cave in to the pressure to starve themselves thin just to fit in with the unrealistic, unhealthy standards!
Either way they're ALL airbrushed to perfection in magazines and such anyway. :p And yes, they can even airbrush movies/tv etc. It's incredibly time consuming to do so (as you can imagine) but they do it so we're bombarded with their idea of beautiful.

I think it is shameful. That is actually one of the reasons why we don't have any focus on celebrities on this site. I think everyone is so hard on women - especially over their bodies. I'm glad you guys feel the same.
There are people all over the world who are starving to death and all our culture wants to talk about is the derriere of a vacationing celebrity. That's just sad.
Absolutely! on Dec 10, 2007 @ 08:20 am
I've been reading about this, too, and it really is disgusting. Here is a stunningly beautiful actress with a perfectly gorgeous figure and she's got to deal with idiotic headlines proclaiming how fat she is. Nonsense. The sad thing is, despite her confidence and willingness to be outspoken about this issue, I suspect there are people out there that wouldn't cast her in roles due to her not being a complete toothpick. Seems silly to me since I think most women viewers would much prefer to see normal-sized actresses rather than women who look like they've eaten a breath mint and water for breakfast.

I have seen those pictures on tv...and though I am not a fan of hers, I have to say that she looks gorgeous! No woman should ever have to be afraid of showing off her curves.
Sadly, some people choose to scrutinize and comment on her appearance rather than acknowledge more important issues going on in the world right now.
the media is crazy.. on Jan 09, 2008 @ 07:11 pm
I couldn't believe it myself when I saw the pictures. If that is fat 99% of the female population is in big trouble!
It's no wonder that so many pre teens and teens have issues with self esteem, body image and eating disorders.
It is a really sad reflection on the media coverage of celebrities today.
