Tomorrow Entertainment Weekly's latest issue will hit newstands. The cover features one of our favourite TV Teens - Chris Colfer (a.k.a Kurt from Glee).
The magazine article will feature a special report about gay teens on TV, I'm looking forward to reading the article.
What do you think the has been the impact from more gay teens and characters on television? Do you think it has had a positive impact?

All I know is I love the Kurt character and it's nice to see a storyline where he feels more accepted.

I think it's awesome! Let's young people know that they aren't alone!
Kurt is one of my favourite characters on Glee! I was watching the special features on the Season 1 DVD (nerd alert!) and the original Pilot script didn't include Kurt's character. There was originally supposed to be an East Indian boy. But the casting director invited Chris Colfer to the auditions in hopes that the director could find a spot for him. When Colfer walked in, someone said "you look like you should be in The Sound of Music". And Colfer said that he actually had been in a production of TSOM and he played the character Kurt. So they wrote in a part for him and named him Kurt!
And that's your fun Glee fact of the day! haha

Cathy, that is such a cute little tid bit.
I love Kurt! He is by far my favourite on the show; I'm still blown away by his voice.
I think Glee has done a great thing by bringing the "underdogs" to the spotlight and I think it has made it at least a little bit more "acceptable" for teens to be themselves.
Kudos to them!
