Have you heard about this latest? An ex-employee alleges she was fired for not fitting Prada's mold due to her size and physical appearance.
While we will reserve judgment until all the facts are revealed, it wouldn't be all that surprising considering the fashion industry's (oh, how shall I put this?) definition of beauty.
What do you think? Stunt, shocking corporate policy, or merely a disgruntled employee?
|well, not shocking (to me anyway) on Mar 15, 2010 @ 08:58 pm|
hmmmm let's see .....high fashion discriminates (yet again)? Shocking, no....
This is high fashion-unfortunately, its an industry consumed with the visual!
I think that people who choose to go into fashion have to understand that 'look' means everything-however 'right' or 'wrong' that is! I don't see this changing anytime soon!\
I must agree that she IS disgruntled....I can't seem to find any other articles about this besides the one you posted, but I have a feeling that some of her story may be 'embellished'.
I did also try to google Ms. Rina and couldn't find her on google images-THAT suprised me a little.
