It has been a hard winter here in Newfoundland and while others ,or at least some are getting excited about spring,we are getting more snow.Yesterday we hardly had any.Today we had 15cm of snow and Wednesday coming ,chance of having another 25cm with winds gusting to 100 km/h.with the chance of possibly more.Make no wonder I feel like hybernating like the Bears till it's all over.

I definitely feel your pain, Ontario has had a pretty bad winter as well. I am beginning to feel that we will never see the end of it this year and if hibernating was an option.. sign me up!

Had enough on Mar 27, 2014 @ 03:14 pm

I live in the rural part of Ontario and this is the most snow we have received in 30 years and it just does not stop. When I travel into the city the snow is almost gone but ours has not melted much at all. It is going to be a long spring of melting for anything to start growing.

Spring Flowers Please... on Mar 27, 2014 @ 09:21 pm

Its been a looong cold brutal winter for most of Canada.. With the most snow I've seen in a long time, an Ice Storm like no other and power outages across the city!! I'm anxiously waiting for nicer weather..

Just awful on Mar 28, 2014 @ 09:32 pm

I'm not a winter person. I truly hate the cold weather. My skin gets so dry my knuckles crack and bleed and I get dry patches all over my body. I always say I'm designed for California living and I really do believe I am. Love Canada, but the winter here is too cold, long and dark for me. This winter in particular.

Snow go away and Spring come quickly!!! on Mar 29, 2014 @ 02:51 pm

I have never remembered snowing for 5 months out of the year (Nov-March). It's been too long and I hope Spring comes soon!

More extreme weather? on Apr 03, 2014 @ 07:21 pm

Been doing some reading and looks like we seem to have passed a threshold in how human activities have affected the planet. Things like air currents (jet stream) and water patterns have started to adjust. I'm so done with these polar blasts... had a little snow yesterday here in Haliburton On. Went snowshoeing... there's still about 3ft of snow.

What do you think... will we get more and more extreme weather?

Winter in Canada is always rough, ours this year was colder than last but with less snow, can't change it so embrace it, try a new activity and look forward to spring and summer. Take it one day at a time and find something good in every one of them!

Sympathize with you. on Apr 18, 2014 @ 05:01 pm

I watch the weather channel and every time they mention the east coast I almost cry along with you. Here in Edmonton, we have been lucky (touch wood), our weather although not the greatest hasn't been too bad. The other cities and provinces have been getting all the bad stuff. Chin up, it's almost over Spring will get here eventually.
