No I actually haven't heard of that but that really sucks because it's July.. Wow am really shocked. The weather changes have been quite bizzare actually. Where I live it's been soo humid and lots of big thunder storms.

I live in BC and I didn't hear about Calgary in fact my friend is over working the stampede and when i looked at the weather it was hot just like we're having here in Vancouver. It's been brutal we have now a huge cloud of smoke over the city due to forrest fires - we have poor air quality - we desperately need rain.

My two friends are there in Calgary right now and they were sending me videos of the hail, I couldn't believe it! First it started to rain so much and so quickly that it started to flood while they were sitting on a picnic bench at the Stampede! Then about five minutes later, I received another video from them of giant pieces of hail. Jeesh, what is going on! Toronto has been super rainy (luckily the weekend was good) with more rain coming tomorrow while Vancouver hasn't had any of it. So strange...

That's crazy! Our seasons are becoming so mixed up. I remember it snowing in June once, but that was probably 15-20 years ago. Hopefully they got through the storm okay. I imagine most drivers had switched out their winter tires, so the driving must have been quite tricky.

Lol, no snow on Jul 06, 2015 @ 11:07 pm

I am here and yes there was a big hailstorm and a few places had a flash flood but no snow! And it will be 29C again by Thursday...today it was pleasant 22C which is perfect for Stampede goers (Stampede grounds always get super hot, at least 10C hotter than the rest of the city).

prettyrainbow I wish more people here believed in winter tires during winter but most rely on all seasons...and it really was just hail and rain, no snow, so winter tires wouldn't have made any difference ;-))
