disappointed on Jan 15, 2015 @ 09:38 am

I honestly like target so I'm a little disappointed . Some things are cheaper others not so much. Liked the diferrect selection they have. But this doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm gutted on Jan 15, 2015 @ 01:12 pm

I hate WalMart. I know lots of people love it, but not me. I preferred Target. Some of the things, like dog products or my hubby's Ensure, are always cheapest there. I am going to miss Target terribly and wonder what will be put in its place.

I also prefer Target and am bummed, but it's true their prices were not quite as competitive as I had hoped. I actually liked that in the sense that the stores were rarely crowded and generally very tidy and well stocked. I am sympathetic for the lost jobs, too.

There is a beautiful brand new Target close to my sister in law, plus several area malls with Target as one of their anchor stores. I really wonder what will happen with these spaces.

It's sad on Jan 15, 2015 @ 03:26 pm

I think it's really sad that they are just closing up and not trying to salvage the brand in Canada. The few times I been in the one in my small city, it was empty.
I think there was too much hype and not enough preparedness as to prices and stock. I feel awful for the employees since there aren't alot of jobs in my city and alot of empty stores, i hope that another company will step in to take over the Target stores,

It's sad that Target had to kill all the Zellers before they moved in. I liked that store. They haven't even had a chance to stick around for a bit. What has it been? a year or even two? A lot of hype and it still didn't succeed. The stores seemed so-so. I'm sad for the soon-to-be-laid-off employees.

Not a frequent Target shopper on Jan 15, 2015 @ 08:08 pm

I heard about it on the news. I actually only bought one thing last year at Target and browsed once on another occasion. I really didn't see what the big hype was about. I don't particularly find the prices all that great. I looked at clothing, shoes, food, household items etc. Nothing that really blew up my skirt sorta speak. So either way, if they close, it will not affect me at all.

Going to miss the clearance on Jan 16, 2015 @ 04:30 pm

I loved Target for the most amazing clearance deals! I will also miss the one store that has scanners everywhere. The other stores in my area seem to only have one or they are so hard to find I give up.

Disappointed! on Jan 16, 2015 @ 05:48 pm

I was super sad hearing about Target shutting down- it was seriously a great place for crafts, pjs, cute home decor and during Christmas, it had a lot of very lovely things. A real shame. Loved the atmosphere and how clean it was, friendly staff. I'd rather give Wal-Mart up to be quite honest!

I heard about it in the news. It's sad that a lot of people would loose their jobs.
However I prefer Walmart. I find prices to be higher at Target.

Had it Coming on Jan 18, 2015 @ 02:46 pm

What we wanted was the same exact stock of the Super Target that we go down to shop for. What we got was a little Kmart-styled store. All I want is to have the same variety of groceries (cereal, soda, gum, jello, pasta) where I go to the States and grab saying "OMG! I've never seen this before, they don't sell this in Canada!". It was more like the Zellers that left than the Walmart across the street.
