Earlier this week we wrote about DSquared's participation in the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. However a more controversial subject of the Ceremonies has been Nikki Yanofsky's interpretation of our national anthem.
Read about it here.
What are your thoughts on interpreting the national anthem?

I had to run an errand and only made it back in time to watch the lighting of the cauldron thingy. I have been trying to locate a source to watch the opening ceremonies online but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know?

Hmmm, well I'm not Canadaian; however, I'm generally familiar w/ the Canadian National Anthem. But I guess not familiar enough b/c I didn't even realize that she had put her own flair into the song. But I felt she did a fantastic job -- she sings really well.

undoubtedly she has an amazing voice, love the way she controls it... but i'm not too sure how i like the national anthem alteration. it just doesn't sound like the canadian national anthem.
i'm mixed up on this, on one hand i like her voice and the way she
thows, controls her voice, etc. but i'm not too keen on the way she
sang the national anthem. I would love other songs sung by her though.
I don't know... i guess some may appreciate it ... but i just think some things should stay the way they were made.
