Do you plan on watching this show? I was a fan of the original years ago, but then outgrew it. I can see how it'll appeal to the young soap opera set, but I certainly won't plan to see it.

I watched the first episode. I expected more. I don't know what. I like Grimes but thought she was too 'perfect' if she was supposed to be the new Brenda. The real Brenda was only on for a short time and the scene was awkward.
It just didn't feel like it had a lot of substance. I find when the plot doesn't grab me I spend more time noticing things like hair. How do they get those long perfect curls? How could I get my hair to do that? How could - and then I move on to the outfits and can't remember what the show was about.
As far as fluff shows go I prefer Privileged and of course, Gossip Girl which is the best of the bunch.
For serious shows, Fringe rocks.
Fringe love on Sep 18, 2008 @ 10:12 pm
I've seen a few episodes of Fringe too and agree! We'll have to see where they take it; I hope they don't go too much toward X-Files (which I enjoyed at the time, but ...). Between Fringe and House, I pretty much don't need to watch anything else.
... well, except for the odd episode of Y&R, just to keep on the up and up ;)

I've tried to watch 90210 several times, but it just doesn't hold my
attention for any longer than two or three minutes. But I am happy to
see a Canadian actress on there (that chick who was on Degrassi). Meh.
Not a big fan on Sep 25, 2008 @ 01:58 pm
I tried to watch the first episode at a friend's house and I was not that impressed. I agree with MissChickie, I spent more time looking at how people were dressed etc than I did paying attention to content. The show was very take it or leave it for me.
Jennie Garth ... on Sep 26, 2008 @ 02:36 am
I was a huge fan of the original Beverly Hills 90210 so I tried watching this one. I really just wanted to see Jennie Garth... I loved her in the old one. I heard that the stars of the old show, Jennie and Shannon are only making cameo appearances because the show is not about them. *Yawn* none of the new actors really intrigued me. In fact, it appeared to me that they all needed acting lessons.
I changed the channel a few minutes in... totally bored outta my skull looking for something more interesting to watch. The news was far more exciting.
Just can't get into it on Oct 02, 2008 @ 07:20 pm
I've tried watching it a number of times and just cannot seem to get into it. It's nothing like the old one, not that I really expected it would be but.......the news media seems to be focusing on the weight of the girls on the show, or lack of it, then on the show itself? and I must admit I couldn't help but notice how thin those girls really are. WOW
