Would you vote for "The Donald"?

Apparently Donald Trump is considering a presidential candidacy.  I can already see the SNL skits...

Would you seriously consider President Trump?

Ummm..... on Nov 23, 2010 @ 06:31 pm

I'm not a big political buff and my US political knowledge is quite limited to scandals and whatever juicy details the media covers. However, I have participated in every election since I was of legal age in Canada and when I make my decisions I consider how well the person could handle demands as well as social and economical issues. Trump might be able to handle the economic situations (even that might be sketchy since he did go through that nasty bankruptcy) but would fail horribly at the other major issues that politicians face.

um NO on Nov 23, 2010 @ 06:44 pm

I agree with mela86.... just cause you're successful in one area doesn't mean you can handle everything else.

Obama is seriously the most amazing president since Lincoln...

Oh Donald on Nov 24, 2010 @ 09:39 am

The fact that he has to stamp "TRUMP" in massive letters on everything worries me that his first move would be to change the country's name to The United States of Trump!

I have been trying to avoid The Donald's sideshow antics all spring but today I got really riled up when I heard that he was dropping f-bombs in relation to trade with China.

He wants to impose heavier import taxes, I imagine to boost US domestic products. While that makes sense and all, I wonder if he realizes just how many people don't, won't or can't buy something not made in China. The price of everything would go way up (clothing, furniture, EVERYTHING) and many small business owners stock products made in China so you're killing them too. How is that helpful?

But what really got my goat was the swearing. Yeah, that's really presidential Donald. I guess now that the birth certificate has been released and you have no pot to stir, you decide a little colorful language that will only hurt international relations is the best solution.

yes. on Apr 29, 2011 @ 08:25 pm

This whole thing isn't phasing me .....there have been actors and wrestlers in politics before.

In case you don't know.....BUSINESSES control Congress NOT politicians (the politicians are merely the puppets-big business pulls the strings). Donald Trump love him or hate him is a business man. He's got money, he's not afraid to use it, and he will make the decisions that need to be made-regardless of powerful lobbyists.

Donald Trump being president wouldn't be the worst thing.....

PUHAHAHA on May 04, 2011 @ 12:15 pm

I cracked up when I heard about it!
Actually, I didn't really start laughing until I saw Obama's speech during an important event about Donald Trump's Birth Certificate idea....
But he might actually have some good ideas?

Right now he might be good on May 19, 2011 @ 01:44 pm

You know what? Donald Trump might be someone the US needs right now. We just nearly avoided a great depression and the debt is still extremely high in the US. This is the biggest issue in the states right now I think and Trump has knowledge and experience in that field. He might be what's good for the states right now. Too bad he's not running...
