A while back we posted an article about the new cameras in Selfridges department stores that were designed to help you pick out clothes by taking photos of how you looked and by giving you the ability to share these photos with others.
Now- this has been taken to the next level. Using Microsoft Kinect technology- they have created virtual dressing rooms. You are able to choose multiple items and see yourself in the computer screen with these items on. You simply use your body as the remote and chose the items that you want to try on. It also customizes the item to fit you. Here is a screen shot:

Kind of reminds me of Cher's closet from Clueless- anyone else LOVE that closet and absolutely crave it???
How many other people love this idea?

Imagine if we could get this app at home, and if the stores somehow coordinated their websites with all their latest clothes / accessories so we could do this FROM HOME!! We could shop from home!!!
Ok, I actually really enjoy the whole 'mall' experience so this won't replace my actual shopping, but I'd still enjoy this to no end! For the days when I'm stuck at home, I can use this and be in a virtual mall! & I'll know what looks good, what doesn't, etc.. this is good for retailers too, cuz less returns and exchanges! How cool is that?
