With all this wedding business (read about rustic wedding themes here!) going on at CA, I've been doing some research here and there.
We've had a lot of talk on wedding rings and engagement rings (check out this one too) lately too so I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on alternative engagement rings!
I found this one online (it is available at Etsy)
Would you ever rock one of these or something similar? Or how about tattooed wedding rings?

I've been seeing Fingerprint rings lately which I think is so cool! You can either have the fingerprint on the outside:
or on the inside, leaving room for stones or other engravings on the outer side if you like:
Best of all, if it's ever stolen there's no denying who it really belongs to - hah!

I should have probably mentioned - I like this as a wedding band or anniversary ring. Don't know that I am sold on it as an engagement ring.

I love the double ring as a statement ring!! But I don't like the double ring engagement ring / wedding band 'cuz I don't see it as a practical item that can be worn all the time. I think the engagement ring or wedding band should be such that you can wear it and forget about it, so you wear it forever.
I love the fingerprint idea, and actually think the tattoo idea is very cool if you're already into tattoos! No chance of losing that! :) It's personally not my thing, but I think it's cool for those who're into tattoos.

No to the tattoos. I think they'd look gross after a while. The double ring is a bit cheesy though I'm sure some people would love it. I think the fingerprint idea is neat, but I prefer it on the inside rather than the outside. But, I personally wouldn't want any of these as a substitute to something sparkly ;)

I tweeted about this and asked what everyone thought- the results were not in their favour. I believe the exact words were, "barf".
While I like the idea of a unique wedding band that means something special to you, I don't like this chunky, large rusty band. I could see this as like a fun alternative to your wedding ring to wear out- maybe on an occasion when you don't want to lose your ring? Or maybe just for fun to switch it up?
