When I first started reading your post, my first thought was, "No! Animals are bad gifts, and bunnies aren't so easy to take care of as some people may think!" But then I saw that he's had a rabbit before, so he obviously likes them, knows how to take care of them, etc. I guess the question here is does he want another one or two? If you think he'll really love that, then I'd say it's a good idea. I just wouldn't use the word "replacing". You know, some people may get hurt by that especially if the previous pet was really special. Think if it (or them) as an "addition" to the "family". I don't really have any great ideas on how to present this. It may be difficult to get them to stay in the basket and it may get messy! How about just putting a large red ribbon or bow around their necks (something that won't hurt them!) Maybe something with a heart pattern? I dunno...just a thought.
