Did you survive your family get together at christmas?

Wow - I love my family and I love the fact that we were blessed enough to all get together over christmas - but I have to admit I was glad to see them all go home and back to the peace and quiet of my home without them.

any thoughts anyone?

Survive Family Get Together. on Jan 02, 2016 @ 08:35 pm

We were all at my Sisters House on Christmas night for Dinner, and after we cleaned up ,we turned on some music and started Dancing. When we got tired of Dancing ,we got out our Guitars and sang songs until 2:A.M. in the morning, and danced some more.We always have a great time when we get together.Would you believe my Daughter and my two Brothers and sister ,along with my mom's house are all, just across the street from me.I am the only one on this side of the street.I have another Sister who lives about three minutes drive from me.We are a very close Family who live very close to one another. The best thing about living close is,if something went wrong with one of us,we are all there to help.We love each other very much and, sometimes I think we maybe just too close. It is very nice though to see each other all the time.

I really enjoyed my family get together but when it came time for the in-laws, lets just say,a little bit stressful and glad to get home.

I'm kind of jealous of that feeling as I live in Canada and all my family are in Scotland. Holidays are always super lonely and even though my husband's family are lovely, I really miss the noise and hecticness of my family.

I usually am happy to see my sister go home and wouldn't mind if my dad left, but I could spend every day of the rest of my life with my mum and not be sick of her :P
