Hair Color (Dark) Help

So I'm Asian, and my hair is naturally super black. I had tried everything natural to color my hair lighter (cinammon, honey, etc.) and my mom finally gave in, giving me a box of medium brown hair. I didn't expect it to work to be honest, but it ended up working slightly, giving my hair a tint of brown, especially down the scalp. This was yesterday. I have realized I really do like brown hair, and I want to make my hair more brown, without dye, since my mom said I can't dye it again for a few months because of possible damage. Is there any quick and easy way to possibly lighten my hair with natural products? It is a very dark brown right now. Will it naturally lighten within a few days?

Don't over process your hair... I would go into a salon and peak to a professional and tell them what you would like..They may be able to help you out with some pointers...

Lemon? Lightening shampoos? on Aug 27, 2015 @ 04:05 pm

That's a tough one! I've heard lemon works. You could check out lightening shampoos like John Freida's for blondes which highlights lighter colours in the hair. It's not a dye but a shampoo and conditioner, so that could perhaps help in the lightening department?

Feria hi lift browns on Aug 28, 2015 @ 01:31 pm

I'm sorry to say there is not much we darker haired girls can do to "naturally" lighten our hair. The very best product I have found is feria hi lift browns. They are specifically for dark hair and lighten several levels. Because you had virgin hair (unprocessed) until just recently it will be fine for you to recolor within a week or two to get the lighter brown you want. The reason why the roots are lighter is that the heat from your scalp processes the dye faster so the roots are slightly lighter but the rest of the hair likely didn't get much lighter. Once you have achieved the brown you want use shampoos and conditioners specifically for brunettes. E.g. John Frieda brilliant brunettes. Good luck. Ps - feria is not a solid color - it has wonderful levels of highlights throughout the color so it looks more natural and beautiful. Good luck!
