|Keep trying & reviewing on Sep 22, 2016 @ 11:53 pm|
I've been lucky enough to get in on several campaigns. I think that they usually have a target demographic in mind. I would try to be flexible when you fill out the survey & fill out as many as you can when they become available. I always make sure that I'm adding new reviews, as I think it improves my chances. Good luck!

Same I've been wondering since signing up I've been lucky enough to get one opportunity but I sign up for all of them and try doing reviews and just don't seem to get anywhere. Same with Bzzagent I barely ever get to try anything from them.

I received an email saying I've been selected for the Dove Dry Shampoo Review Opportunity. This will be my first. I've been a member since the beginning of September. I'm not sure why I was selected. I try to stay active on the site and review different things, I don't know if that helped or if it was just luck...

I have been a member since March. I have almost 10k points and am quite regular with reviewing and haven't got in on one campaign. I think it's heavy on meeting criteria....etc. and I just haven't matched up! The day I get one I will flip out lol. It's fun reviewing and my personal challenge is to get in on a campaign!

I think there are a lot of factors that come into play when being selected to review products. The survey you fill out when you apply is probably the most important, so answer honestly. I think companies set a criteria and if you match that criteria you will probably get the chance. For example they may be only looking for women aged 30-40 and so on. I think demographics play a part in in. Last but not least how active you are on here, if you submit random reviews on products you use or have used. I have gotten a couple products to test so far and they were great. It's like anything patience is a virtue, stay active on here and your day will come for you to recieve a product to test. This of course is just my opinion of how I think we are picked for testing! Lol

I would say that staying an active member throughout the year is probably a good factor in being selected. Agree with other members and it is also based on the company's demographics. Good luck!

I've been selected for the last 4 campaigns in a row. I'm only been on the site now for 4 months. It goes by meeting a certain criteria to be selected.

There are some cases where we do a totally random draw and others where we select the most appropriate reviewer. For the Product Review Club, we will always look for the most appropriate reviewers based on the survey questions AND based on whether you have reviewed things in the past.
If it is a toss up between another member who participates actively on ChickAdvisor with reviews, forums etc and someone who has never reviewed anything on ChickAdvisor, we will most likely choose the active member. Why? Because the companies that provide products for you to review are counting on your opinions.
Further, your reviews help us grow, so why wouldn't we show extra love to those of you doing your part? Something to keep in mind!
***UPDATE: DECEMBER 2015***
Hi Everyone! I know a lot of you look to this thread for tips and advice and thought it high time I update the original post as there have been changes over the years. Here is what we are looking for when choosing who will be selected for these offers:
1. Are you the right fit for the product? We want to match the product exactly to who it is designed for.
2. Your current reviews on ChickAdvisor. You need to have reviewed at least 5 items on your own from products you already own and love. We are looking at the quality of your reviews. Do you provide helpful, detailed feedback? If you don't like something are you constructive with your criticism?
3. Your social participation. Do you use our hashtags? Do people like you and follow you? Our favourite posts are things like Instagram images when you get your products (we love it when you are in them!). Helpful tweets and Facebook posts are also much appreciated. Some of you have even done Youtube videos and blogs. LOVE those!
4. When we send you a product, do you review it? If not we can't choose you again. There are so many of you in our Product Review Club. It's not fair to choose someone who doesn't review over the many others who will.
That's it! I hope it helps and thank you all for your questions and interest in our program! 2016 is going to be nuts with new offers so stay tuned!
