Mum all the way. My dad and I don't get along. Being in Canada, missing my mum kills me every day. All I want for every birthday or christmas is for her to walk through my door. All of those lucky enough to live near their mum's, appreciate her, don't take her for granted!

I understand your feelings and I wish you could see her walk through your door. It's lovely for you to feel that way, but I'm sorry it makes you sad. You are such a sweet girl wonderwhatif (I pick up on that through your posts) Try and keep happy....

Thank you so much! It's what I call the 'immigrant's curse' though. In a way to be with my husband I've had to sacrifice being with my family and that's just the way it is. I'm adjusting to it a lot better now, but at first it was terribly hard.
Thank you for your kind wishes :)

I wasn't close to my mom or dad, they were not emotional people,I don't remember ever getting hugged or kissed from them, kind of sad when I think about it
