|They are weak! - Fake empathy, it'll earn you brownie points. on Feb 08, 2015 @ 03:20 am|
I entirely agree, they roll around in self-pity over the smallest of discomfort such as a common cold. (Which to them, might be the flu, chest infection, throat infection, rare virus, extreme infection... you name it. Anything vastly more extreme then what it actually is, he will claim it is!)
Calling them out on it and telling them they are pathetic for being cranky and rude to you when exaggerating a small discomfort they are experiencing will only back fire.
Fake empathy, concern and wory. "Oh, poor you. Do you need this?". Because I guess, in the end. They need one person in the world who makes them feel like they understand and empathise with their 'illness' (I use this term extremely loosely). When you first start a relationship, you're more inclined to over-exaggerate your concern for their common cold or cough. Just because you've seen this all before, put up with their rude behaviors justified by their sniffly nose ect. If you share a relationship with them, give the illusion that you're concerned for their 'illness', otherwise they will seek comfort in other peoples 'fake concerns' not realising no-one is buying it! Acquaintances are just more likely to dilly-dally around your slight-headache and wish you an empty- Oh dear, I hope you get better soon! Do you need anything?
Many feel your frustrations 'Rogersresaca', stay strong!!
|Men when they are Sick on Feb 09, 2015 @ 12:25 am|
Hi how are you doing? I agree they act like they are dying and expect you to wait on them. But if you are sick you still have to do all the running around, cleaning and cooking. Good Post.

I couldn't agree more. It's like they go back to when they were a baby lol. But when we are still were still expected to clean the house ect. Double standard!

Men definitely seem to lose their masculine composure when they get sick, haha. Fortunately, the men I have dated have not been over-the-top with their self-pity or need to be taken care of, but they definitely did display both traits. I'm not sure why this happens... I'm just glad I don't succumb to self-pity when my throat is a little sore. :P

Men are worst than babies when they are sick. they act like they are going to die. and when a women is sick she still has to be tough and do every thing.
