Do any of you have a favourite brother, sister, child, or grandchild, or even parent? Most people say no, but deep down I think we all have that one favourite. It's not necessarily that we don't love the others, it's just the way it is as we are human.

I have a favourite cat, but it changes depending on who's annoying me most at the time, haha.
Definitely a favourite parent, my dad and I have a tenuous relationship, so it's got to be my mum.
How about you?

My grandmas both say that I am their favourite granddaughter....but as the only one it only makes me feel a little special ;)

I have 3 brothers and love them all equally. I am much closer to one though. We are just very similar and that has allowed our relationship to be closer. I do t love him more or even differently, our personalities just align us more I guess.
I grew up with a father that has always struggled with substance abuse and as a result our relationship has always been very, very strained. I can safely(and sadly) say that I do prefer my mother.

I totally have a favourite aunt. I think part of it was that she was the only aunt that was not married and did not have kids of her own so her nieces and nephews were like her children and she always made it a point to spoil us because that's what aunts do. I am now 30 and I am the favourite aunt for my fiance's nephews (it makes me feel so special because I am not blood related). It's all relative, I talk to them like an adult not like a kid, I take an interest in things that are important to them (lacrosse, hockey) and go to watch them play.... and just make sure we have phone (and i'm sure the box of fruit rollups I have waiting in the cupboard for them on every visit doesn't hurt either!

Yes I do have a favourite grandson, and a favourite granddaughter. I think everyone has a favourite even though they may not think so.

I adore my parents but I have such an special bond with my mom. I can tell her anything and she is always there for me, she never judge me and she is just amazing. I have 4 siblings and the eldest one used to be my favorite, but not anymore. We all live in different places and now it's easy to communicate with my brothers because my sisters love the drama and I don't have time or patience for that.
I have a favorite uncle because he has been really supportive and we are very close, it's like a second father.

PS: yes, mine is a TV show reference... I was a system kid. nuff said.
Also: wonderwhatif, my first thought was of my kitten (who will be a cat in just 2 months and 2 days!!)

I think we all have favourites whether we are conscious or unconscious about it. We -ideally- like think that we probably don't have favourites but deep down, we do. For example, I have a favourite uncle on my dads side. I barley even know a good portion of my family in all honesty.
