Is anybody else a bit confused about all the hype around Kate and Harry's wedding? I just came across an article about a collectable mug* to celebrate their union, sorry but I just don't see this obession with the soon-to-be newlyweds.
I guess it was the same with Diana`s wedding - my great grandmother`s apartment had rows of decorative plates about that wedding.
I just don`t get it, any insight?

I can understand my Gran collecting plates, but you'd think in this day and age there'd be some more interesting memorabilia out there?
I do like Butter London's No More Waity, Katie shade. I think that's a creative way to celebrate a Royal Wedding, and something you'll at least get use out of, cause it's not like we're going to eat dinner off of a commemorative plate!

We get enough useless favours when we actually attend weddings, why would we want to voluntarily purchase that kind of stuff?
Now that nail polish is definitely something I would use.

They really are targeting all types. Artist Lydia Leith is offering Royal Wedding Sick Bags on her website. According to Refiner29, Leith has dubbed her "Throne Up" bags as "future collectables”.
